PHILIPPE HASPESLAGH

Philippe Haspeslagh is a senior advisor at Innesto Partners. 

Philippe is a Professor and Honorary Dean of the Vlerick Business School in Belgium. Additionally, he is the Chairman of Capricorn Partners, a Belgian VC and a Director of SONAE SGPS a Portuguese listed holding company. He is also the Honorary Chairman of his family business Ardo which is the leading European producer of frozen vegetables, herbs and fruits. Furthermore, he is Chairman of FBN Belgium, the network of multi-generational family businesses.

Previously Philippe had a longstanding career as a Chaired Professor at INSEAD, with research interests in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, value-based management and board effectiveness. He founded INSEAD's Strategic Mergers and Acquisition program and its International Directors Forum. Furthermore, he was a Visiting Professor at Harvard Business School and Stanford Business School. 

He has also been Chairman of Procuritas, a Scandinavian buy-out firm, and a Director of Governance for Owners, a UK responsible activist investor, as well as Guberna, the Belgian Institute of Directors, and a number of listed and unlisted industrial companies including Kinepolis and Sioen.

Philippe holds a doctorate and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a diploma in consulting and coaching for change from INSEAD, and prior business degrees from the Catholic university of Leuven and the Vlerick Business School.
